Aerobics Instructor – A person who choreographs exercise moves and leads classes in aerobic exercise.
Airbrush Technician – A person who sprays another person with a self-tanning formula or other similar solution.
Body Wraps – An esthetician or type of equipment that coats the body with herbal, minerals, or oils and wraps them with cloth or material. This is used to tighten the skin, detoxify or for temporary weight loss.
Cosmetologist – A person who provides personal care services that include hair, skin and nails.
Electrologist – An esthetician who perform the eradication of unwanted hair with an electrified needle.
Estheticians – A person who performs skin care practices for cosmetic purposes such as cleansing, stimulating, manipulating, exercising, beautifying, waxing or applying oils, creams, aromatherapy, antiseptics, clays, lotions, make-up or other preparations, either by hand or by mechanical or electric appliance; or arching eyebrows or tinting eyebrows and eyelashes if allowed by the state in which the salon is located. This includes crystal and diamond microdermabrasion of the stratum corneum. This does NOT include services such as removing superfluous hair by means other than electrolysis or laser unless also included on the policy as a covered service unless noted specifically in Automated Service / Other Services.
Fitness Instructor – A person who promotes and improves the level of fitness for their clients.
Hair Stylist – A person who styles, cuts, dyes and dresses the hair; also known as a hairdresser or barber.
Indoor Tanning – Involves using a device that emits ultraviolet rays to produce an esthetic tan.
Massage Therapist - A person who practices massaging, cleansing, stimulating, manipulating, exercising, beautifying or applying oils, creams, antiseptics, clays, lotions, or other preparations to, the skin either by hand or by mechanical or electrical appliances.
Micropigmentation Artist – An esthetician who places pigment under the skin to result in cosmetic enhancements. This is also known as Permanent Make-Up or Cosmetic Tattooing.
Nail Technician – A person who grooms a client's fingernails and toenails. Nail technicians can provide services such as manicures, pedicures, nail shaping, cuticle grooming, callus removal, synthetic nail treatments, and application of nail polish for their clients.
Personal / Fitness Trainer – A person who works with others to improve their fitness level. They not only instruct but also set goals, feedback and accountability to their clients.
Pilates Instructor – A person who instructs their students using Pilates to promote overall health, improve muscle tone and strength, and achieve better posture.
School Instructor – A trained professional who teaches a variety of skills used by hair stylists, nail technicians, estheticians, massage therapists and other services in the beauty industry.
Spray Booth – An automated booth that sprays a person with a self-tanning formula.
Student – A person enrolled in a beauty school to obtain their license in the specific field of study.
Yoga Instructor – A person who instructs their students through yoga, a type of low-impact exercise that uses controlled postures and breathing techniques to improve flexibility and strength.
