General Responsibilities:

Reviews, evaluates, and processes insurance claims and review recommendations regarding resolution.  Review reports prepared by adjusters and validity of the claim.  Communicates with agents, claimants, and policy holders.

Specific Duties May Include Any or All of the Following:

  • Maintain excellent communication skills

  • Proficient in deescalating difficult situations

  • Work collaboratively with other team members

  • Initial setup of claim from broker/insured to appropriate carrier/TPA

  • Claim follow ups

  • Address claim status requests

  • Complex claim review and explanations for brokers and insureds

  • Underwriting support to adjusters ensuring they have applicable information and documents for claim investigation

  • Maintain UIP Claim Procedures

  • Conduct Quarterly Claim Review meetings with TPAs and or Carrier Claims Team

  • Carrier Loss runs review/cleanup

  • Underwriting Alert Notifications for Large Loss Losses

  • Moratorium Alerts

  • File and respond (when applicable) to all claim related correspondence and documentation

  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

Knowledge of Software Required or Can Learn:

  • Applied EPIC

  • Trello

  • Rating Systems

  • Avaya

  • Microsoft Office 365
